Based on 140 reviewsEat Ngon has garnered a positive reputation for its affordable pricing and generous portion sizes, making it particularly popular among students and budget-conscious diners. The restaurant offers a diverse menu featuring Vietnamese and Japanese-inspired dishes, praised for their freshness and flavorful combinations. Customers appreciate the quick service, even during busy lunch hours, and the welcoming atmosphere suitable for both individual meals and group gatherings. Some feedback notes minor seasoning adjustments and slight improvements in texture, such as crispiness of bread, but overall, Eat Ngon is regarded as a reliably satisfying and well-priced dining option in Carlton.
Good place if you’re a student. Prices are good for the portion and it’s a good environment with students. The food was fresh (not all pre-cooked) which was nice. Taste is alright too, though a bit too salty for me.
Affordable meals that's big in portions. Wide menu range and lots of seating. Recommended
tried out eat ngon bc i was craving some banh mi after uni classes!for a good price of around 8, this vietnamese restaurant is actually so good.i got the pork banh mi and i liked how there was so much of each ingredient, particularly the carrots and cucumbers. they also put a lot of filling into the bread itself which makes the price so worth it.the bread could be a bit crispier or at least a bit warmer as it was a bit cold but its not a big deal.overall, a really good restaurant close to unimelb so make sure to check it out!
I have come here multiple times since mid-2023 and the food here has never disappointed me. Today I am in for lunch with family and we ordered a lunch deal (with fried rice, roast pork, tofu and beef curry), vegetable curry laska, a pho cup deal (2 veg spring rolls and a drink) as well as extra veg spring rolls. The food came out super quickly despite it being lunch rush hour and the portions were huge! I love eating here as I never leave hungry and the food is always so flavourful. I would recommend their lemongrass chicken on rice and vegetable curry laska.
Eat Ngon is a marvellous restaurant in Carlton famous for its affordable price and delicious food. It offers different Vietnamese and Japanese style food with very friendly prices and all of them are delicious. I high recommend large group of friends to come and gather. The shopkeeper is a very nice Singaporean who can chat on all topics,A very well-derserved restaurant in Melbourne
Stopped by for a quick lunch during my break and loved it to bits! Staff was very friendly. Ordered the regular beef pho and it came hot, flavorful and portion was quite a lot. Latte was the right temperature & served in a large mug so I was surprised because it was priced like a small. Beautifully made & smooth milk but a bit too much foam. Nevertheless everything was amazing & I’ll definitely be back for lunch breaks again :)
A lovely Vietnamese restaurant in Carlton serving delicious dishes at fairly good prices. Close to Lincoln Square, it stands between RMIT and University of Melbourne, making it a great spot for students and others alike.Simply impressed by the food. So, I ordered the Chicken Laksa Soup Noodles (about 16 or so). It was slightly different from what I am used to, but was nonetheless amazing. The dish was hot, flavourful and just the right quantity to satisfy my lunch hunger.#2 I had the Hokkien Mee Noodles with fish cakes and prawns. It was quite good!#3 I had the Regular Beef Pho (15.90) and my friend had Curry Beef on Rice (15.90). Both were excellent!#4 The Curry Beef on Rice (15.90) was phenomenal! Soft, juicy pieces dripping with falvours with 4 stalks of bokchoy tasted awesome! The place is hip and nice, as are the people there. The lady at the reception took my preference for rice noodles only and that's what I got. Cool decor, quick staff service and lots of options!
An unassuming eatery that serves Japanese, Vietnamese, Malaysian meals! We had the pho and katsu curry rice. Both were very tasty. The katsu curry was tender and moist, one of the best I've had ! Pho was tasty and the beef was very tender. Super fast service and very reasonably priced.
